Week 3 came and went with a blur.... my oh my, how the term is flying!
This week we spent time writing to a penpal in our journals. We commented on something that has happened at school so far and also on the natural disasters that have hit Australia in the past few weeks. We should have a postcard back from our penpal in our journal this week.
We also looked at measuring temperature and we will be graphing our findings this week.
We are continuing a look into all the cultures in our class through mapping them this week. Should be interesting since we truly are a multicultural class.
Our Profile Strips look fantastic hanging in the room.
We started Maths groups, although Mrs D. was away so we will have to show her how wonderful we are next time!
Just a few reminders for the week... Swimming Carnival is on Wednesday! We hope you can come watch some of our races. See you there!

We have been sharing some of our ideas and thoughts through our I AM Poems. We have also been busy typing our work to share with everyone.
Let us show you some of our work.
Let us show you some of our work.
Welcome to 4D
Welcome to the new school year.
The children and I have been busy getting to know each other and getting stuck into work for 2009.
So far this year we have been wet, wet, wet! and I think we have managed two lunchtime plays. But I must say that all have been patient and taking advantage of alternative activities during the break times including computer games, building constructions with the zoobs and playing games.
I am thankful to all the parents that have approached me to offer assistance at varying times during the school week and look forward to working closely with you all in furthering your child's education.
Keep your eyes posted for more news from 4D's Virtual Window.
Thanks
Mrs D.
